Privacy Policy

QuranPath is designed for privacy and peace of mind. The core reading experience works offline, never asks for personal details, and keeps your reading activity on your device.

What We Collect

Nothing personal. QuranPath does not create accounts and never asks for your name, email, or phone. There are no analytics or advertising IDs, no tracking, and no profiling. Device location is requested only if you use the prayer times feature, and it never leaves your device — see "Prayer Times and Device Location" below.

What Stays on Your Device

Your preferences, bookmarks, and last-read position are stored only on your device. The Quran text and core translations are bundled for offline use. None of this data is sent to us.

Optional Companion Features (Online)

QuranPath optionally fetches additional content — including extra translations, tafsir (commentary), and recitation audio — from the Quran Foundation API (quran.foundation) via a developer-operated proxy. These requests contain no personal data and no account identifiers; they are plain content fetches, like loading a webpage. If you do not use these features, no network requests are made for them.

Prayer Times and Device Location

If you use the prayer times feature, the app will ask for your device location once. Your coordinates are used only on-device to calculate prayer times and are kept in the app's local storage. Your location is never transmitted to us or to any third party. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.

Analytics, Ads, and Tracking

There are no ads, analytics, or hidden trackers in QuranPath. We do not use third-party SDKs for analytics or advertising.

Sharing, Support, and External Services

The core reading experience stays on-device. If you use features that leave the app, like sharing or contacting support, those services may have their own privacy rules and network connections. Optional support purchases are handled by Apple or Google through their store billing systems, and QuranPath does not receive your payment card details.

Children's Privacy

QuranPath is safe for all ages. Since we do not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to collect from children.

Data Retention and Security

Your reading data stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. We do our best to build responsibly, but no app can promise perfect security.
